A natural attraction seated in the heart of Subic, El Kabayo Waterfalls is home to two waterfalls with different heights. The first waterfall is about 3 meters high and the second one is 5 meters high. The two falls are almost thirty meters away from each other, which means one must go trekking to see both waterfalls.

While hiking, you can enjoy sightseeing and even a lovely picnic, as the place has a very relaxing ambiance. There’s nothing like munching on your favorite food while being surrounded by the flora and fauna of the forest. You can choose to bring raw food and have the caretakers cook it for you or bring meals that are already cooked so you can just start eating when you reach the falls.

Located in the forested area of Binictican, this tourist spot in Subic Bay Freeport Zone is a must-visit. El Kabayos Falls boasts two cascading waterfalls a few meters away from each other. The first level of the waterfalls is about five feet deep while the second is 15 feet deep. Aside from swimming, you can also have a picnic and cook your own food in El Kabayo Falls.

HOW TO GET THERE

From Manila, you can take a bus in Cubao going to Subic. Victory Liner serves the Olongapo route via SCTEX; it is the fastest way going to Subic and has only one stop via Day, Pampanga. The fare is around Php 240. One can also take Genesis and Saulog bus, but it travels through the service road and may take a longer time reaching Subic. Upon reaching Subic, you can take a cab going to El Kabayo waterfalls.
