Over 115,000 Filipinos die yearly from smoking, vaping, and excessive alcohol. A new study highlights their deadly health impact.
The report clearly shows that tobacco and e-cigarettes are making more and more Filipinos sick with serious problems like heart disease, lung issues, and nicotine addiction.
Experts warn that even though vaping is often thought of as safer than regular smoking, it’s turning out to be just as bad for your health. And drinking too much alcohol continues to be a big problem, leading to things like domestic violence, car crashes, and liver damage.
Last year, we even saw a tragic case where a 22-year-old man died from a heart attack. Doctors linked it to severe lung damage from only two years of regular vaping.
Because of these growing health problems, the government is working hard to spread awareness and put stronger rules in place. They want to protect Filipinos from these lifestyle-related diseases that are taking too many lives.
