Jan Cadee Dagoon was the star of the show for Olongapo, winning an impressive three championships. She clinched two singles titles: the girls’ 16-and-under, where she beat Ayl Gonzaga 6-2, 7-6(2), and the tougher 18-and-under division, where she again defeated Gonzaga, this time more easily at 6-1, 6-3. This made her the only player to win two singles golds in the tournament.

To top it off, Dagoon also won the girls’ 18-and-under doubles title with partner Shaner Gabaldon from Isabela. Her amazing performance truly cemented her as one of the country’s bright young tennis prospects.

Cosca also had a standout performance, winning the boys’ 14-and-under division. Although he didn’t get a second title, losing to teammate John David Vytiaco in the 16-and-under final, Cosca’s strong showing earned him co-MVP honors alongside Dagoon.

Overall, Olongapo City players swept six singles titles and two doubles titles, appearing in almost every final match. This remarkable achievement proves the effectiveness of the city’s tennis development program.
